Coacharya Advanced™

We offer the Coacharya Advanced™ program as an International Coach Federation (“ICF”) Accredited Coaching Training Program (“ACTP") coach credential program leading to ICF Associate Certified Coach (“ACC”) and Professional Certified Coach (“PCC”) credentials.

The Coacharya Advanced™ program fulfills ICF credential requirements of 125-hours for PCC and 60-hours for ACC. Upon successful fulfillment of such hours, including mentor coaching and assignments, participants can apply for credentials through the portfolio route. This involves submitting a log of experiential coaching hours, undergoing a written ICF administered online test, and submitting 2 coaching conversation recordings to ICF.

Classroom Methodology

Session time includes 50% spent on interactive discussion of concepts and coaching applications relating to coaching competencies through presentation, question and answers, discussion on books and videos, coaching role-plays relating to live issues, and discussion of cases. We work on observed/mentored coaching in dyads/triads/fishbowl formats for the remainder of the session.

Some of the Observed Coaching sessions are conducted via live teleclass mode to familiarize students with telephonic/audio coaching. Within a few days after the classroom course at least 2-hours are conducted via live teleclass.

This program is open to those with some understanding of the coaching process, with or without professional training inputs. However, most subjects including competencies are addressed de novo, and observed coaching starts at a beginner level with process description based on coaching competencies.

Typical Observations

  • Learning occurs through reflection, practice and action
  • A transformational focus even within the limited time.
  • Emphasis on the journey rather than the outcome
  • Client focus remains paramount.
  • More effective than the traditional triad setup of coach, client and observer
  • As Observed Coaching sessions progress, observations become increasingly insightful.
