ICF-Accredited ACTP Program

What is ACTP?

ICF Accredited Coach Training Program (ACTP) is an all-inclusive coach training program, the completion of which allows the learner to apply for their coaching accreditation with the International Coach Federation (ICF).

ACTP requirements include the following:

  • A minimum of 125 hours of coaching training, including comprehensive instruction around the ICF Core Competencies, Code of Ethics and the ICF definition of coaching (Please scroll down to view entire curriculum or contact us for a PDF copy).
  • Mentor Coaching - at Coacharya our mentor coaching is provided by a Master-level coach (MCC), compared to PCC coach at other coach training institutes.
  • Observed coaching sessions and peer coaching sessions
  • Assignments, which demonstrate comprehension of topics covered
  • A comprehensive exam that evaluates a student's coaching competency

Basic (ACC), Advanced (PCC), mastery (MCC) and continuing education (CCE) programs, all icf-accredited

Coacharya's ICF accredited coach training program is delivered in multiple cities around the world as well as virtually, online. Coacharya is also accredited by CCE and EMCC and offers advanced training as well as free and program-based continuing coach education, which can be used for coaching credential renewal.

Coacharya offers Basic (Associate Coach Certification / ACC), Advanced (Professional Coach Certification / PCC) and Mastery (Master Coach Certification / MCC) coaching certification training, including mentorship and ongoing support. New cohorts start each quarter.

    APPROACH

    Our ICF accredited coach training program combines a blend of psychological, spiritual and leadership approaches to coaching and organizational development interventions.

    • Learning. Andragogy, as a combination of knowledge sharing, discussion, reflection, application and action learning both inside and outside the classroom. Interactions occur via dyads, triads and larger groups using role-play, games and discussions. Typically, a major concept would be addressed for at least 30-minutes to be internalized.
    • Assessment. Informal assessments for each module during practice sessions, and a formal written/ mailed assessments for every 30-hour module based on a competency checklist. Final assessment and evaluation is conducted by an independent MCC-certified coach. 
    • Eligibility. This program is open to all with an interest in the coaching process, with or without previous professional training inputs. The program focus is on  leadership development of institutional professionals and executives with at least 10-years of experience. Life coaching competencies are also taught at basic, advanced and mastery levels. 
    •  Content. All subjects, including coaching competencies, are addressed de novo, and observed mentored coaching starts with an aim to achieve mastery from the beginning.  The program goal is a mastery of coaching competencies along with self-discovery and application capabilities.
    • Delivery. Face-to-face, virtual or a hybrid as necessary. Classroom hours are interactive using embedded learning tools. Daily observed mentor coached sessions aid with practice and self-evaluation. Outside the classroom, additional learning occurs through self-study evidenced by assignments. A minimum 100-hours of peer coaching is required to fulfill ACTP requirements.
    • Trainers. All Coacharya's trainers have senior corporate leadership experience, a minimum ICF -PCC credential, and continued executive leadership coaching experience.

    Learning Modules

    Learning Modules are designed for optimal educational impact based on adult learning principles. Content and delivery are designed for interactive learning, enhancing presentation material with dyad and triad discussions, demonstrations, and audio/video support material. At every stage of learning, awareness and ability to act on awareness are measured. Content updates occur on an annual basis.

    ACTP MODULES (447-hours)

    Each module in Coacharya's ICF accredited coach training program covers a day’s worth of content over 10-hours. Additionally, trainees spend two-hours of self-study for each module evidenced by assignments. Trainees are required to engage in dyads and triad format peer coaching for a minimum of 100-hours as prescribed by the ACTP route.
